Family / Nature / Systems Constellations are tools for understanding the systems we are part of, finding empathy for one another's baggage, and moving forward with a new sense of possibility in our present-day lives. We do this through creating living maps, listening deeply to What Is, and finding movements that relieve burdens and restore the flow of love.
Why attend Upper Valley Constellation Circles?
- You are looking for meaningful connection with other humans, in a safe, creative, intentional setting
- You are aware of some kind of pattern in your life that you'd like to resolve
- You want to bring creativity, compassion, and awareness to participating in the larger systems that shape our world
- You want to connect with a sense of resources in your lineages
- You are looking for skills and support to contemplate your current life situation and next steps
- You are looking for a co-creative way to engage with deep emotion and healing – not as an individual client, but as a member of a healing community
What are Family Constellations?
Upper Valley Constellation Circles is a series of monthly, in-person programs in Lebanon, NH designed to safely, creatively, and compassionately explore the systems and lineages we navigate, through Family / Nature / Systems Constellations practice.
Family Constellations practice, first proposed by German therapist and ex-priest Bert Hellinger, offers tools for recognizing the loyalties and legacies within ourselves and our family systems, releasing unneeded burdens, and restoring the flow of love between generations and individuals. Our Circles will draw from Family Constellations to build living maps of the family / ecological / institutional / political systems we navigate, within which suffering may be seen and released, and healing movements may be completed.
Francesca Mason Boring, a magnificent constellator, writes:
The generosity of this work and what strangers are willing to share with and do for one each other is truly phenomenal.
(Family System Constellations and Other Systems Constellations Adventures, p.10)
I'm moved and amazed every time I enter the living field we create together in practice, and feel the flow of love, life-force, and possibility restored.

What can I expect from an Upper Valley Constellation Circle?
We'll begin with an opportunity to arrive and orient to resources. You'll have the opportunity to meet other participants, check in, find creative ways to honor what matters to you, and consider the strengths and challenges you are bringing with you that day.
Then we'll move into Family / Nature / Systems Constellations practice. A participant will come forward with a challenge or pattern they are currently experiencing. With the facilitator's help, this participant will choose representatives from among their fellow participants to stand in for members of their family of origin and/or elements of the situation they are exploring. Through deep listening to this living, systemic map, the participant will discern healing movements in their life and situation.

You belong
to the world, animal. Deal with it. Even as
the great abstractions come to take you away,
the regrets, the distractions, you can at any second
come back to the world to which you belong,
the world you never left, won’t ever leave, cells
forever, forever, going through their changes,
as they have been, since you were less than
anything, simple information, born inside
your own mother’s newborn body, itself made
from the stuff your grandmother carried within hers
when at twelve she packed her belongings
and left the Scottish island she’d known – all
she’d ever known – on a ship bound for Ellis Island,
carrying within her your mother, you, the great
human future that dwells now inside the bodies
of your children, the young, which, like you,
belong to the world.
