Dear Whomever,
Sometimes prayer is important for acknowledging, I need help with this, or, I need to remember this.
Below are a few pryers I have gathered & reworded through the years.
I also suggest prompts for generating your own prayers in language that rings true for you and your relationship to Source / What Is.
Love,
Julie

The Seven Branch Prayer
1.
Wholeheartedly I bow to the victorious ones and their lineages,
who abide in the ten directions and three times.
2.
I offer flowers, incense, light, perfume, food, music, and many other things,
both in substance and through my imagination.
I ask that the noble assembly should accept them.
3.
I confess to all evil, ordinary, and miraculous acts committed by me
from beginningless time until now,
influenced by the defilements, the full range of sentient experience, and Buddha nature
those that ripen immediately, those that ripen in time, and many more.
4.
I rejoice in the merits that all sentient beings gather throughout the three times.
5.
I ask that the wheel of the Dharma be turned:
the teachings of discipline, compassion, and transmutation,
in accordance with the capacities and interests of sentient beings everywhere.
6.
I pray that the Buddhas not pass into nirvana
but with great compassion and until samsara is completely empty
take care of sentient beings navigating this ocean of joys and sorrows.
7.
may whatever virtues I have gathered through my practice
become a seed of enlightenment for all.
without delay, may I awaken and become a splendid companion for all sentient beings.
Simplified:
1.
I bow wholeheartedly to What Is,
and to the wild sacred lineages I honor.
2.
through eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind - I make wild offerings to What Is
both in substance and through my imagination.
3.
I acknowledge the full range of actions I have committed (skillful, unskillful, and in between)
from beginningless time until now. I acknowledge I have carried every conceivable burden and delusion. I acknowledge my participation in the good, the true, and the beautiful.
4.
I rejoice in the goodness that all beings gather throughout the past, present, and future.
5.
I ask that all beings receive the guidance and deep support that is exactly right for them.
6.
I pray for the ongoing, active compassion of all that eases suffering, as living beings navigate this ocean of joys and sorrows
7.
I dedicate the goodness of my waking up to the good of all
I commit to waking up as a splendid companion for all sentient beings.
